My lil lady's room tour!!!

So i have dreamt of the day to hear the words " IT'S A GIRL" i love my lil man sooooo much and am blessed beyond to have him in my world. But there's something about having a daughter too now i am double blessed to get to have one of each! I  had thought about what i would want if i ever had a girl and i was very particular on the decor of the room! I knew exactly what i did and didn't want! I've always loved lil ladybug themed stuff but lately everyone that sells ladybug themed room decor has all made the ladybugs to become pink or purple! LADY BUGS ARE NOT PURPLE PEOPLE :P SO i was on a mission to find stuff that was true bold RED AND BLACK! Welp there wasn't much out there lol. So i decided i refused to settle and started to build my own stuff piece by piece. Amazon was a lifesaver and actually had some cute ladybug decor and the rest i got my creative hat on and went to work!

I should have taken a before pic of the dresser/changing table combo but we got it cheap of Craiglist and it was just plain white with all sorts of different colored drawer knobs: So we transformed it into this:
Then I found these on Amazon :)

I had some of these flowered boxes hanging around so i sprayed them black and added the zebra and thus began the accenting in zebra print. Which i'm soooo glad i did i love the combo together! And these lil bugs are just rocks from the backyard that Carson and i painted lol :)

I found all of the wall decals off Amazon as well the ladybugs and the vinyl writing that fits perfectly above her crib:

We found an adorable black shelf at Ikea and some more fun outfits, booties, zebra blankie, ladybug twilight (early gifts from Grandma and Auntie) added some more cuteness to the room! The black crib looks so nice and clean with a plain bold red sheet and the little zebra blanket i found again off Amazon :) Along with her basic lamp that needed some style so i glued on some feather boa to it and it looks so much better now :)

The curtains are basic and simple since i didn't want to overdue it on the zebra but they work great with the rest of the room and lil ladybug accents on the window trim :)

I love pinterest!!!!!! I got this idea off of there :) Found the frame at goodwill, painted it, added ladybugs and sharpie to it and wrapped some clothing pins in zebra ribbon and bam! A cute way to display her ultrasound pictures which as she gets older i can trade out :)
Next little project was a bow holder because i couldn't help myself i need to get her liking girly stuff right away. But i will just share the bottom part because the top shows the letter of her name and that i'm waiting to post online!

So here are few more pictures of the room and i did a video too but it wouldn't upload so i will add that to my facebook. I love it sooooooo much. The only thing left to add is the changing pad which i have a solid black cover for and hopefully a black glider rocker that will go nice with her crib. I can't wait to see her in this room :)

Hope you enjoyed the tour!!! I'm pretty stoked about it but then again i'm totally bias :)

A new addition at the Crouch Household

That's right you heard me a new addition and it's not another puppy! Carson's finally going to get to be a big brother. We found out beginning of November when i was around 4 weeks the test turned positive immediately and then i went right out the door to get a blood test to confirm and sure enough it was right!

So we thought about it and decided to make this fun and keep it our little secret as long as possible. It was super hard and several moments where i almost slipped. But we made it til Christmas Eve! Here's how the reveal went..... we were at my mom's and had just ate breakfast all together and let Carson and Ry open all there gifts up and then Jared and i snuck Carson away. We brought him in the other room explained to him that he was gonna be a big brother and mommy had a baby in her tummy. Then we put on a shirt that i made that says "I'm Going To BE A Big Brother" and we started to walk down the stairs telling everyone we had one more Christmas present that was for everyone :) They were all shocked! We got em good! There was hugs, tears of excitement, slaps of how dare you not tell us, and it was a great day. Here's some pics from the reveal:

He is beyond excited and asks me constantly about the baby and he says he's fine with a baby brother or a sister. We should get to find that out sometime in February!

This pregnancy has been the complete opposite of mine with Carson. I've unfortunately been hit with morning-all day-night sickness, headaches, mood swings, super sleepy, and all that fun stuff. I had none of that with Carson except the headaches in month 4 but ya this is a whole new experience but all worth it!

Babies due July 17th but if i go early again, we could very easily have ourselves a 4th of July baby!

Here is baby at around 8 weeks:

This year has a lot of fun new experiences for us and our lil family but i'm so ready for the journey/challenges/ and precious moments.

My tummy is doing that thing where i wake up just looking bloated and it goes bigger/smaller throughout the day then at night seems huge. Everyone told me you pop sooner with your 2nd and ummm ya i can confirm that's the case with me!

Get Crafty: Halloween crafts

I love craft time with my kiddo. It's a fun thing to get to do together that's enjoyable for both of you. I have a very small supply of craft stuff (need to expand) but i am always googling crafts that are simple and don't require that much time/effort/supplies.

So we decided to make some halloween crafts this morning and here were the ones we chose and the links with instructions:

The leaves are changing and the new is beautiful and refreshing!

Hello Fall. With our Summer that wasn't really that great of a summer i was surprised how quickly I was ready to move onto Fall. It felt like after a few weeks of such a mediocre summer I was already over it. I think some of that is coming of age and some of that is I am not so big on half way things. It's gotta be hot and beautiful out not just ok. Plus i gave up tanning a long time ago. I use to love it but i am so antsy now i can't just lay there i have too many things on my mind or things i need to be cleaning and can't justify laying there to only make me have wrinkles, sun spots, and potential skin cancer. BUT not to hate on tanning cuz it does look beautiful i do admit that, i guess i will just always be the whitey in the group!

Fall is here the air is crisp the leaves are changing and i'm busting out my sweaters, boots, and warm coffee and cider. LOVE IT :) The leaves on our fence changed and it's absolutely gorgeous so gorgeous i forced Carson into letting me take a picture in front of it.

Boston is getting ready for Halloween with his new lil pjs.

I love Fall TV!!!!!! Some people get excited about football season and then there's me :) A TV fanatic. I get so pumped about all my favorite shows new seasons and all the new shows. My fall tv line up has became pretty extensive thank goodness for DVR's right !?  I like to record a bunch of pilots to see if I am interested or not because some shows have caught me by surprise. I still have some shows to catch up on or test out.  Here are some of my new favorites that i have taken on:

New Girl
2 Broke Girls (pretty much my favorite new comedy)
Revenge
X Factor
Hart of Dixie

I'm sure that list will be growing once i check out some more new shows. I am still devoted to Vampire Diaries and Glee and a few others. I'm going to start from the beginning of Modern Family soon because I have been told it's hilarious but i need to start from the beginning.

Some other changes are I got a seasonal part time job in a boutique. So that's fun. We are moving in a few weeks into a new place. Halloween is fast approaching Carson is going to be two things power ranger and spiderman. Then let the Christmas countdown begin! This is definitely my favorite time of the year! I think that updates things a bit.

Enjoy Yourself  and the simple blessings that surround you,

Get Crafty!

So i have recently been so inspired to get crafty. I'm not sure what all of the sudden came over me, but i am constantly wanting to do a new project! Something fun and creative to do and Carson loves to watch and help! I LOVE the app Craftgawker ... if you don't have it already you need to get it. So great to see some great fresh ideas and get inspired!

SO here is a few of my projects that i've done lately:

New Way To Display/Organize Your Make-up:

This is my magnetic make-up frame. Since this pic i have it hung on the wall where it's suppose to be and i've added more to it. But i love it! Makes everything so easy and accessible and looks fun and modern. Note- if you use any make up item that's really heavy you may have to get a heavier duty magnet to hold it and really strong glue. I just used regular cheap magnets that already have the sticky on them and cut them down to size.

Earring Frame:

This is my new earring holder (it hangs up inside my closet) It was super cheap to make:

frame from goodwill
cheap paint from the craft store
a broken pearl bracelet
ribbon
hot glue
and the plastic mesh stuff was like 49 cents at the craft store
and staple gun it onto the frame.

:) You could make this have any look you want!

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser:

Ok so i'm so stoked been wanting to make one of these for awhile and finally got everything i needed to try it out! I only had enough soap to fill it up half way but it's fun and right now sits in my bathroom for our bedroom and i can't wait to make more variations of this once i get my hands on everything i need!

Now go out there and get creative  :)

What I've been Reading

First of all i always have said my whole life that i hate reading! It makes me sleepy and i've just never been able to stay focused enough to finish books. BUT in this past couple years i am slowly changing my habits and with the right storyline/author I'm able to do it!

So I just finished reading these two books:

A Stolen Life- Jaycee Dugards Story: Oh my word! I saw her interview with Diane Sawyer and i had to read the book. I won't lie this book is very disturbing and she does go into deep details about all in which she had to endure. Her strength and determination though is beyond inspiring. If you can handle the intensity of it i would definitely recommend it. I couldn't put it down! Watch something happy on tv though before bed after it to lighten your mood haha.

Bringing Home Elizabeth- Ed & Lois Smart: So after reading jaycee's' story i wanted to read the Elizabeth Smart one too. Now there are a couple out not sure if she has a biography out yet if so I would rather have read that. BUT this was still a good book to read about the parent' s journey that they went on during the 9 months that Elizabeth was missing.

Uncharted Territori: Tori Spelling:  I think Tori Spelling is hilarious i have watched her reality show with her husband/family and started reading her books i have read the two before this and now am on to this one!

I am currently in progress :)

So that's all for now.

Sweet n Silly Prayers

Carson does the best night night prayers ever! I look forward to hearing them every single night. He always throws new things in and keeps some old as well.

This was last night's prayer:

"Dear Jesus,
Please help Rywee's bandaid feel better and help him find his scooby one that ummm may be over the
neighbor's fence ... not sure and thank you for boom(blue) cupcape (cupcake)and white cupcape and m&ms and shows.
Please take all the shadows away and help mommy and daddy to be nice.
In Jesus name...Amen :) "

This was tonight's prayer:

"Dear Jesus,
Please make my toe feel better (hurt it today).
Thank you for Rywee come over and for take a bath.
Thank you for boom (blue) cupcape (cupcake) and white cupcapes and m&ms and show and brownies.
Thank you for poop. (LOL)
And keep me strong and healthy so i can get big.
In Jesus name... AMEN :) "

What I'm Loving In July :)

I thought it would be fun to do each month what i'm loving blog and this can consist of ANYTHING :) i'm making my own rules up for it so deal with it! From fashion related stuff, movies, shows, products, whatever i feel like lol so here it is :) ....

These are not in any particular order as far as what i love the most!

PILOXING-  For those who can't see the obvious lol piloxing is a combo workout using pilates and
boxing. The motto Viveca (the creator) uses is Sleek.Sexy.Powerful Woman! It's tough i am yet to do the full hour long work out without having to catch my breathe or not fall on the balancing parts BUT you always need a challenge otherwise it will get too easy for you and your body will stop responding to it. This is very "in" right now especially with celebs the main studio is in Cali of course! Celebs like Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Anniston, Alexis Bedel, and many more are all firm believers in Piloxing! If you have more questions let me know i really like it!

CASCADE ICE- It's only 2 calories and is flavored sparkling water sweetened by one of the more natural sweetners sucralose it's super yummy i really like the orange and watermelon rt now!

CRAFTGAWKER APP: Ok so my sister introduced me to this app and i've became obsessed with checking it. It's basically just a community of crafters sharing their projects or also there is some photography sharing as well. You can search by categories and favorite whatever you like to add them to your favorite list. Some of them have tutorials or some of for sale but none the less you get to see tons of cool creative ideas that are super inspiring and gets your own creative juices flowing!

THE GLEE PROJECT-

So i'm beyond OBSESSED with this show. As you can see Cameron is my favorite contender. I love how he's nerdy and awkward at times but beyond talented! He is also so humble and really seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The winner gets 7 episode on Glee Season 3! Which is one of the best wins ever because you basically are winning a career or the best launching pad out there for your talents to be exposed! It's on Sundays at 9pm on Oxygen! Check it out!

SUMMER FRUITS- I'm loving all the fruits that are in season right now. I'm really loving strawberries and cantaloupe but there really isn't a fruit out there that i don't like. :)

BOHO CHIC-

From headbands and flowing skirts to feathered earrings and peace signs my inner hippie has been coming out lately and i love it! :)

Just for fun i thought i would do a quick...

 WHAT I'M HATING LOL:

The Rain :( where is our summer!!!!

The fact that Casey Anthony gets off not guilty!!!Oh man don't even get me started!

That a lot of my favorite shows go on break in the summer :(

Lose Jabber.. about blogging

So i never know if anyone really actually takes the time to read these blogs. I have not been into blogging lately and i think i'm gonna start to get back into it. I originally just wanted to be able to jot funny things down that happen and kind of use this as a memory database. But of course i've gotten SUPER lazy and haven't been writing.

My son says funny things every single day! So if i blogged every single time that would not really be realistic. But i'm going to try and do better. I want to start incorporating more and more things like reviews, and things i like, into the blogs as well.

Here's a quick "Conversations with Carson moment" :

He says this before bed time tonight " I give you 5 optons (options) mom... as he is using his fingers to count them out,  1. I stay and pway (play) some more in my pway  room.
                          2. I watch one show in mommies bed.
                          3. I go nt nt in my bed.
                          4. I stay awake.
and.....       5.  I stay awake. LOL

And a " Proud Mommy Moment" Carson has learned all the letters in his name he pointed them out letter by letter on the fridge the other day just randomly C-A-R-S-O-N that's Carson :) aweee he's getting so big.

Bye For now,

Get Fit & Feel Good

So i decided to utilize my blog as an outlet to follow thru with get fit and feel good journey.
I'm classic for doing the whole "I will start on Monday thing" and then we all know what happens that Monday comes you see one sweet and it's all over!

Well i am totally addicted to diet coke and coffee. I'm aware so knowing is half the battle right? I'm going to attempt to go entirely off diet coke and coffee but be patient with me i may need to wean off and have an occasional couple at first or here and there. But i'm seeing if this is going to help make a difference in my getting fit results. Because i have heard diet soda makes you fat well anything thats carbonated. SOoooo we shall see.

I will also try different work outs well for one because i hate to do the same thing over and over because i get bored and two that way i can give feedback on it.

I am not bold enough to share how much i weigh (maybe later not sure lol). BUT really although some weight loss would be grand the ultimate goal is just to finally bite the bullet and get healthy and make it my lifestyle instead of being good for a few days and then going right back to my old habits.

Here's my weaknesses for fun:

BREAD! I am a carbaholic love it all toast, pancakes, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, breadsticks, all so wonderful.

I LOVE CEREAL too especially 9pm at night i have this urge to eat a big bowl of cereal as i watch tv. It's like it calls me.

PIZZA
CANDY: especially sour candy!! Sour patch kids, sour rips, and trolli sour gummi worms!
those cookies and cream chocolate bars
                milk duds
                hot tamales

DOUGHNUTS: maple bars :)
ICE CREAM: LOVE IT and can never have the serving size
COOKIES: chocolate chip

Ok so i will do quick daily check in's mostly for my own sake and accountability. BUT encouragement is always welcomed :)

bye for now,
SC

I've been horrible at keeping up....

I'm so bad at this blogging thing. I may have to start jotting things down on sticky notes. So this will be kind of a random catch up blog.

Let's see since our Cruise...what has been going on.

Carson is still going to Preschool he is doing very well with it and enjoys it a lot. I will be sad to break for summer wish for his sake and mine that it was year round! :) hehe

Carson has more and more songs that he sings on a regular basis. However him singing " I'm only gonna break break break break your heart, " probably tops the list! LOL

We got a puppy. I SWORE i was never going to do the pet thing because i didn't want the responsibility BUT i fell in love with this lil pup and I knew it would be nice for Carson to have a pet. Right now it's hard work but eventually it will get easier.

So meet Boston Cage Crouch :
The previous owner named him Boston and it just fits him and Carson added the Cage part :)
He's my lil snuggler since Carson won't snuggle :)

This is all i can think of for now. But i will do some more posts soon!

Carson the Contaminator

Just got home from a 7-day Caribbean cruise vacation (ya life is rough lol). It was gorgeous I will share some highlights from our trip once all the photos get sorted thru. But I had to go ahead and just share two well i guess you could call them "Incidents" that happened while we were at sea.

The ship is designed to the "t" with luxury and class. There formal dining rooms are gorgeous. When you choose to fine dine its the whole experience. From gowns and tuxes to several courses and fancy foods. SO we decided to go to the formal dining one night and bring the kiddos along (Carson & cousin Ry) now the workers were overly accommodating and trying to make sure that these little toddlers were happy at all times which was great.

All of the sudden when we were on Course #3 Carson starts complaining that his tummy hurts. Which he is our lil drama king so you never really know if he's playing for attention or something is really wrong, but Jared decides to take him back to the room.

NOT FAST ENOUGH. A gentlemen comes and finds me at my table and says " Mam your husband with the child is in need of your assistance up front." You guessed it. Carson cleaned out all of his insides right smack dab in the middle foyer of this fancy high class fine dining. I was mortified! They had to shut down the doors and not let anyone enter it was awful! Jared said he felt like the movie Monsters Inc. when the guys in suits come and start decontaminating the monster that had the kid stuff on him lol.

Carson was totally fine afterwards and bouncing around playing we think one of the foods just didn't sit well so we decided to go back out for the night. BAD IDEA!

For those who have done Cruises know that these ships are MASSIVE it can take you what seems like forever to get to one end to the other. So my mom took the boys to the kids area while the rest of us went to watch a comedian show. Right as the lights go out and the Comedian starts his act i spot my mom flagging me down in the back. Uh oh. I leave and finally get to her and find Carson has a garbage bag around his waist and when he turns around i see he has crap all the way down his legs! Not to mention the kids thing is on the COMPLETE opposite end of the ship. So my poor mother had to parade him thru tons of people/elevators/stairs and fancy places like that! Yup now he cleaned out the other end! They had to close down a section of the kids area because he had diarrhea right there in the jungle gym! Seriously? These are the moments as a mom where you see stuff like this happen and are just saying over and over " Please don't be my kid, please don't be my kid."

He ended up having 2 more urgent matters one of the beach days but between amazing and willing Grandma & myself we were able to at least catch them in time before things got out of control again.
Other than those unforgettable moments Carson did do great and had a fantastic time!

Just leave it to our kiddo Carson the Contaminator taking down one piece of the ship at a time!!!!

Save $$ create your own eye make-up remover!!

I watched a video on youtube of this from the amazing Kandee Johnson and decided to give it a try because i think the prices of most eye make-up removers are crazy and i have been using petroleum jelly but that dries out my skin.

So here's all you need:

You can use any brand/organic whatever you prefer just make sure its olive oil :)

Then next you need some good ole witch hazel:

Lastly you need a travel container :
Step 1: NOW all you need to do is pour equal parts of both the witch hazel and olive oil into the travel container and you will see the the oil will separate away from the witch hazel

Step 2: Next, all you need to do it shake it up and it turns into a yellow frothy substance. Pour a tiny bit onto a cotton ball and swipe off your make up.

Step 3: You can wet one cotton ball with just water and repeat after to get it extra clean.

It all wipes right off and doesn't leave a nasty film on your eyelids!Your eye area is left smooth and clean!
SO, no need to spend tons of money when you can probably make your own with stuff you may already have in your cubbards!

Thought i would share :)

Growing up fast!

My lil mister is getting so big. I love that him and I can just have these fun days together and go on little Mommy/Son dates! I can't wait for summer time! He got to play outside the other day finally before the rain hit again:

He was so excited!!! I swear he is so much better behaved when he can get outside and get some fresh air and run around!

Well we finally made the switch he is in a big boy seat!!! I can't believe it!

He played in the play area at Ikea today and said afterwards " That was so much fun mommy!!" I love the place! Mom got some kid free shop time and he had tons of fun win-win! :)

Then, we went to Yocream i have heard SOOO many great things about this place but had never been! He was so excited to build his own ice cream creation!
This little buddy is growing so fast. He starts preschool this week! AHHHHHHHHHHHH i will give you the lowdown on all that later! Just wanted to take a second and share our day :)
