My lil lady's room tour!!!

So i have dreamt of the day to hear the words " IT'S A GIRL" i love my lil man sooooo much and am blessed beyond to have him in my world. But there's something about having a daughter too now i am double blessed to get to have one of each! I  had thought about what i would want if i ever had a girl and i was very particular on the decor of the room! I knew exactly what i did and didn't want! I've always loved lil ladybug themed stuff but lately everyone that sells ladybug themed room decor has all made the ladybugs to become pink or purple! LADY BUGS ARE NOT PURPLE PEOPLE :P SO i was on a mission to find stuff that was true bold RED AND BLACK! Welp there wasn't much out there lol. So i decided i refused to settle and started to build my own stuff piece by piece. Amazon was a lifesaver and actually had some cute ladybug decor and the rest i got my creative hat on and went to work!

I should have taken a before pic of the dresser/changing table combo but we got it cheap of Craiglist and it was just plain white with all sorts of different colored drawer knobs: So we transformed it into this:
Then I found these on Amazon :)

I had some of these flowered boxes hanging around so i sprayed them black and added the zebra and thus began the accenting in zebra print. Which i'm soooo glad i did i love the combo together! And these lil bugs are just rocks from the backyard that Carson and i painted lol :)

I found all of the wall decals off Amazon as well the ladybugs and the vinyl writing that fits perfectly above her crib:

We found an adorable black shelf at Ikea and some more fun outfits, booties, zebra blankie, ladybug twilight (early gifts from Grandma and Auntie) added some more cuteness to the room! The black crib looks so nice and clean with a plain bold red sheet and the little zebra blanket i found again off Amazon :) Along with her basic lamp that needed some style so i glued on some feather boa to it and it looks so much better now :)

The curtains are basic and simple since i didn't want to overdue it on the zebra but they work great with the rest of the room and lil ladybug accents on the window trim :)

I love pinterest!!!!!! I got this idea off of there :) Found the frame at goodwill, painted it, added ladybugs and sharpie to it and wrapped some clothing pins in zebra ribbon and bam! A cute way to display her ultrasound pictures which as she gets older i can trade out :)
Next little project was a bow holder because i couldn't help myself i need to get her liking girly stuff right away. But i will just share the bottom part because the top shows the letter of her name and that i'm waiting to post online!

So here are few more pictures of the room and i did a video too but it wouldn't upload so i will add that to my facebook. I love it sooooooo much. The only thing left to add is the changing pad which i have a solid black cover for and hopefully a black glider rocker that will go nice with her crib. I can't wait to see her in this room :)

Hope you enjoyed the tour!!! I'm pretty stoked about it but then again i'm totally bias :)

A new addition at the Crouch Household

That's right you heard me a new addition and it's not another puppy! Carson's finally going to get to be a big brother. We found out beginning of November when i was around 4 weeks the test turned positive immediately and then i went right out the door to get a blood test to confirm and sure enough it was right!

So we thought about it and decided to make this fun and keep it our little secret as long as possible. It was super hard and several moments where i almost slipped. But we made it til Christmas Eve! Here's how the reveal went..... we were at my mom's and had just ate breakfast all together and let Carson and Ry open all there gifts up and then Jared and i snuck Carson away. We brought him in the other room explained to him that he was gonna be a big brother and mommy had a baby in her tummy. Then we put on a shirt that i made that says "I'm Going To BE A Big Brother" and we started to walk down the stairs telling everyone we had one more Christmas present that was for everyone :) They were all shocked! We got em good! There was hugs, tears of excitement, slaps of how dare you not tell us, and it was a great day. Here's some pics from the reveal:

He is beyond excited and asks me constantly about the baby and he says he's fine with a baby brother or a sister. We should get to find that out sometime in February!

This pregnancy has been the complete opposite of mine with Carson. I've unfortunately been hit with morning-all day-night sickness, headaches, mood swings, super sleepy, and all that fun stuff. I had none of that with Carson except the headaches in month 4 but ya this is a whole new experience but all worth it!

Babies due July 17th but if i go early again, we could very easily have ourselves a 4th of July baby!

Here is baby at around 8 weeks:

This year has a lot of fun new experiences for us and our lil family but i'm so ready for the journey/challenges/ and precious moments.

My tummy is doing that thing where i wake up just looking bloated and it goes bigger/smaller throughout the day then at night seems huge. Everyone told me you pop sooner with your 2nd and ummm ya i can confirm that's the case with me!

Get Crafty: Halloween crafts

I love craft time with my kiddo. It's a fun thing to get to do together that's enjoyable for both of you. I have a very small supply of craft stuff (need to expand) but i am always googling crafts that are simple and don't require that much time/effort/supplies.

So we decided to make some halloween crafts this morning and here were the ones we chose and the links with instructions:

The leaves are changing and the new is beautiful and refreshing!

Hello Fall. With our Summer that wasn't really that great of a summer i was surprised how quickly I was ready to move onto Fall. It felt like after a few weeks of such a mediocre summer I was already over it. I think some of that is coming of age and some of that is I am not so big on half way things. It's gotta be hot and beautiful out not just ok. Plus i gave up tanning a long time ago. I use to love it but i am so antsy now i can't just lay there i have too many things on my mind or things i need to be cleaning and can't justify laying there to only make me have wrinkles, sun spots, and potential skin cancer. BUT not to hate on tanning cuz it does look beautiful i do admit that, i guess i will just always be the whitey in the group!

Fall is here the air is crisp the leaves are changing and i'm busting out my sweaters, boots, and warm coffee and cider. LOVE IT :) The leaves on our fence changed and it's absolutely gorgeous so gorgeous i forced Carson into letting me take a picture in front of it.

Boston is getting ready for Halloween with his new lil pjs.

I love Fall TV!!!!!! Some people get excited about football season and then there's me :) A TV fanatic. I get so pumped about all my favorite shows new seasons and all the new shows. My fall tv line up has became pretty extensive thank goodness for DVR's right !?  I like to record a bunch of pilots to see if I am interested or not because some shows have caught me by surprise. I still have some shows to catch up on or test out.  Here are some of my new favorites that i have taken on:

New Girl
2 Broke Girls (pretty much my favorite new comedy)
Revenge
X Factor
Hart of Dixie

I'm sure that list will be growing once i check out some more new shows. I am still devoted to Vampire Diaries and Glee and a few others. I'm going to start from the beginning of Modern Family soon because I have been told it's hilarious but i need to start from the beginning.

Some other changes are I got a seasonal part time job in a boutique. So that's fun. We are moving in a few weeks into a new place. Halloween is fast approaching Carson is going to be two things power ranger and spiderman. Then let the Christmas countdown begin! This is definitely my favorite time of the year! I think that updates things a bit.

Enjoy Yourself  and the simple blessings that surround you,

Get Crafty!

So i have recently been so inspired to get crafty. I'm not sure what all of the sudden came over me, but i am constantly wanting to do a new project! Something fun and creative to do and Carson loves to watch and help! I LOVE the app Craftgawker ... if you don't have it already you need to get it. So great to see some great fresh ideas and get inspired!

SO here is a few of my projects that i've done lately:

New Way To Display/Organize Your Make-up:

This is my magnetic make-up frame. Since this pic i have it hung on the wall where it's suppose to be and i've added more to it. But i love it! Makes everything so easy and accessible and looks fun and modern. Note- if you use any make up item that's really heavy you may have to get a heavier duty magnet to hold it and really strong glue. I just used regular cheap magnets that already have the sticky on them and cut them down to size.

Earring Frame:

This is my new earring holder (it hangs up inside my closet) It was super cheap to make:

frame from goodwill
cheap paint from the craft store
a broken pearl bracelet
ribbon
hot glue
and the plastic mesh stuff was like 49 cents at the craft store
and staple gun it onto the frame.

:) You could make this have any look you want!

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser:

Ok so i'm so stoked been wanting to make one of these for awhile and finally got everything i needed to try it out! I only had enough soap to fill it up half way but it's fun and right now sits in my bathroom for our bedroom and i can't wait to make more variations of this once i get my hands on everything i need!

Now go out there and get creative  :)

What I've been Reading

First of all i always have said my whole life that i hate reading! It makes me sleepy and i've just never been able to stay focused enough to finish books. BUT in this past couple years i am slowly changing my habits and with the right storyline/author I'm able to do it!

So I just finished reading these two books:

A Stolen Life- Jaycee Dugards Story: Oh my word! I saw her interview with Diane Sawyer and i had to read the book. I won't lie this book is very disturbing and she does go into deep details about all in which she had to endure. Her strength and determination though is beyond inspiring. If you can handle the intensity of it i would definitely recommend it. I couldn't put it down! Watch something happy on tv though before bed after it to lighten your mood haha.

Bringing Home Elizabeth- Ed & Lois Smart: So after reading jaycee's' story i wanted to read the Elizabeth Smart one too. Now there are a couple out not sure if she has a biography out yet if so I would rather have read that. BUT this was still a good book to read about the parent' s journey that they went on during the 9 months that Elizabeth was missing.

Uncharted Territori: Tori Spelling:  I think Tori Spelling is hilarious i have watched her reality show with her husband/family and started reading her books i have read the two before this and now am on to this one!

I am currently in progress :)

So that's all for now.
